From belaying at the Seattle Program Center to supporting students on backpacking trips in remote corners of the Pacific Northwest and beyond, there are ample opportunities to get involved as a volunteer with Mountaineers Youth Programs.
Join us on Thursday, November 2 for an evening of good food, good company, and introductory information on supporting the next generation of climbers and outdoor explorers through our youth programs.
At this orientation dinner, meet members of our Youth Education Team and learn more about the programs we offer. Our goal for the evening is to provide current and prospective volunteers with information on the types of support we're looking for and to share training resources for working with youth. We'll also spend some time discussing leadership opportunities that require leader and skill badges relevant to youth programming.
Whether you're new to The Mountaineers Youth Programs as a whole or already plugged in to programs as a Qualified Youth Leader, there are a variety of opportunities to get engaged in the coming year. We hope you'll come away from the night with a solid understanding of what it takes to volunteer with youth at The Mountaineers, and why it can be such a fulfilling way to give back.
