The Mountaineers
Since our founding in 1906, we have pushed the boundaries of what's possible. United by an appreciation for adventure and driven by a sense of purpose to give back, we've redefined limits, set new standards in outdoor education through volunteer-led courses and award-winning books, and fiercely defended the outdoor experience.
Because you are an important part of The Mountaineers community, we want to share some accomplishments from the last year that highlight the powerful impact we're making throughout the Puget Sound (and beyond!), and peek into what's ahead.
In 2018, our ever-growing membership of 13,000+ accomplished so much. Member and donor engagement reached an all-time high, supported by a group of over 2,800 dedicated volunteers who donated 200,000 hours of their time to connect others to the natural world. We are proud to share stories of impact in our Annual Report, including testimonials from members like you, who exemplify what it means to adventure with purpose.
As a community of passionate outdoor enthusiasts, we work to welcome all people in an effort to share and deepen our connections to the outdoors.
