It’s fall, the air is crisp, the leaves are turning golden brown, and The Mountaineers Youth Clubs are launching new seasons to transform our young Mountaineers into lifelong outdoor enthusiasts! Join our youth clubs this fall as we welcome new members and plan for a year of learning new skills and adventuring.
The Mountaineers Youth Clubs function year-round to foster outdoor skills development, get out on trips, and create community. Throughout the year, you may find them putting on snowshoes for the first time, learning to place climbing protection at the local crag, or hiking to a beautiful alpine lake.
The Youth Clubs are divided into three age groups:
Each club cultivates individual skills in outdoor activities that will allow kids in the specific age ranges to explore the natural world and continue to grow outdoor skills. To find out more about the specifics of each club, please visit the youth pages highlighted above. Further details will be discussed at the meetings, which are outlined below.
Three branches offer youth clubs:
In the coming few weeks, we're hosting several informational meetings for all of the youth clubs - the dates, times, and locations are listed below. If you can’t make it to one of these meetings, don't worry, you're welcome to come to one later in the season and you can always get in touch to learn more. We’ll host registration into the beginning of October.
