- August 12: Dave Showalter, Capturing the Spirit of the Sagebrush Sea
Details
All events begin at 7pm (doors open at 6) at The Mountaineers Seattle Program Center (7700 N. Sand Point Way NE). Our goal is to inspire guests to seek adventure, connect with nature and work to protect wild places.
We will need plenty of volunteers to help these events run smoothly. Here’s what we will need at each event:
- Set-up, 4-6pm: Set up tables and chairs, load in books and other materials.
- Check-in, 5:30-7:30pm: Take tickets and answer questions as guests arrive
- Greeter, 5:30-7:30pm: Stand outside the door and direct people, answer questions.
- Book sales, 8-10pm: Assist a staff member in selling the evening’s title after the event.
- Take-down, 9-10:30pm: Clean up, put away tables and chairs, load items into cars.
As a volunteer, you can attend the event before or after your shift, and receive one free Fremont Brewery pint before or after the shift.
You can sign up to volunteer at any of the first three events now, and we especially need to fill positions for March 17. To sign up, please fill out this quick online form. Email or call Jill Eikenhorst, jille@mountaineersbooks.org or 206-223-6303x132, if you have any questions.
If you’d like to buy tickets for any of the events, check out the event page: www.mountaineers.org/bewild. Please share the event with friends and family too!
