“The need to engage and educate youth and adults to safely use and enjoy the natural areas in which we live—and the importance of advocacy to protect our outdoor and wilderness areas – have never been greater than they are today,” Dave Enfield recently shared with Mountaineers staff as he approaches 50 years of membership. “Those of us who value the beauty and outdoor opportunities that surround us in the Pacific Northwest—especially those of us who have benefited from education and advocacy provided by The Mountaineers—can pay it forward.”
