The Mountaineers
There’s no denying it - our community is an incredible force for good. Even in a year mired with challenges and social distancing, we found ways to come together and support one another through our shared love of wild places and the outdoor experience. Our volunteers have done a tremendous job of creatively offering opportunities for us to grow our skills through modified courses and virtual offerings, and our members continue to speak up and advocate for our big backyard. Mountaineers Books helped millions around the world seek refuge in adventure through pages in a book (and won 13 prestigious awards for their titles!)
As we round the corner on one year living in the pandemic, it’s clear that we still have much to celebrate together. And celebrate, we will! We are excited to announce that our biggest event of the year, The Mountaineers Virtual Gala: Adventure with Purpose, will take place on Thursday, April 29. This year’s virtual event will honor Mountaineers volunteers who helped us through 2020 with a one-of-a-kind awards show. Dust off your favorite cocktail-wear, throw on your best puffy vest, and join us as we pay tribute to the strength of our community.

- Cost: There is no cost to attend. All funds from optional ticket donations and meal sales will support Mountaineers programming.

This year only, Kaspars is offering Mountaineers supporters the chance to enjoy a delicious, four-course meal... with 100% of your food and beverage purchase going directly to The Mountaineers! Enjoy a meal and raise a glass knowing that your Gala dining experience supports the greater good.
This year’s virtual fundraising gala is free to attend and all are welcome. All funds raised through optional ticket donations, meal purchases, online auction bids, and Raise the Paddle gifts will support donor-funded initiatives at The Mountaineers and Mountaineers Books, including scholarships, volunteer support, conservation & advocacy, youth outreach programs, and more. We have a goal to raise $360,000 and deeply appreciate the continued generosity of our members and supporters who help make the magic of Mountaineers programs possible.
As this new year begins, we are continually awed by our community and our shared love for the outdoors. Your generosity has sustained our mission of education and conservation in a year where the future felt uncertain.
