1% for Trails—Outdoor Nonprofits in Partnership

Where would we be without trails? Not very far into the wilderness.

Mountaineers Books guides are a great tool for discovering new places and planning adventures, but they are only part of a larger ecosystem that relies on the hard work of land managers and trail associations.

That’s why Mountaineers Books designates one percent of the sales earnings of select maps and guidebooks toward volunteer trail and public lands maintenance. Since launching this program, we’ve contributed more than $32,000 toward improving trails and parks.

Mountaineers Books frequently donates books and maps to nonprofit recreation and conservation organizations. Our “1% for Trails” campaign is one more way in which we can help fellow nonprofit organizations as we work together to get more people outside, to both enjoy and protect our wild public lands.
