WE CHeRISH OUR COMMUNITY

As the story goes, members of Sierra Club and the Mazamas traveled to Washington in 1906 to help local climbers establish our own organization -- The Mountaineers.

The community of outdoor enthusiasts -- those who smile at us on the trail, share route beta up rock, lay a skin track in deep snow and those thousands of volunteers who teach outdoor skills, lead adventures, build trails, perform midnight search and rescues, and who work to preserve wild places and the access to them -- are our community. It's a positive, hopeful community of people who "do" rather then complain, and we're humbled to be a member of this group.

Following are like-minded nonprofit outdoor groups we have and, mostly, still are working with on publishing projects in one way or another. In some cases we distribute their books, sometimes we co-publish books, and frequently we partner on events, both in person and online.
