Introduction to the night sky and astronomy
This two-session course prepares students for many things: how to further appreciate and understand what is in the night sky, navigation to objects in the night sky, and visual astronomy with telescopes. Both sessions include an opportunity for hands-on practice. Once students complete the course and earn the badge, they will be ready to take trips out to a dedicated dark sky location like Goldendale Sky Village.
TYPICALLY OFFERED
The Introduction to the Night Sky and Astronomy course generally occurs twice per year, from Spring through Fall. The course is offered by the Seattle Branch.
