A Naturalist on the Katmai Peninsula of Alaska
The Katmai lies west of Anchorage, across Cook Inlet. It is a rugged country with massive mountains, endless tundra plains, and numerous lakes, creeks, and rivers. Travel with me to this country and explore a few places in two national parks. We will look for bears, follow sockeye on their migration, chase birds, and explore the geology of the mountains. I will share stories from my book, Beyond the Wonder: An Ecologist’s View of Wild Alaska.

Walking the Wild: Hike the Menalon Trail on Greece's Peloponnese Peninsula, with Cindy Hoover
Enjoy another evening of grand photos and storytelling from the wilds of the world, this time from a scenic walk through the mountains, history and quaint villages of the Peloponnese in Greece on the Menalon trail, with Mountaineer Cindy Hoover! The zoom link will be open at 6:30PM, and the presentation will go from 7PM to 8:30 with the last 15-20 minutes being open for questions. You must have a ticket to receive the zoom link to join - free tickets are available!

An evening program to recognize and acknowledge those individuals that are working on the "100 Peaks" list.
Introduction to Extended Backpacking
For backpackers with experience on shorter trips, this evening seminar helps to bridge the gap between weekend trips of 2-3 nights and longer trips of 5-8 nights, including how to prepare and pack gear, clothing, and food. Experienced long-trip backpackers will share their experience and show you how they pack for various long trips around the Northwest.
