At LOR 1 the students will learn the fundamentals of trad gear placements, practice anchor building using trad gear, and complete mock leads on single pitch routes using trad gear.

The field trip leader will contact LOR students over email at least 1 week before the field trip to coordinate logistics.

At LOR 1 the students will learn the fundamentals of trad gear placements and will learn how to build trad gear anchors. The student will practice placing different types of trad gear and learn when to use it. These skills will be practiced while climbing top roped on single pitch route.

The emphasis of this class is learning to rock climb as safely as possible in near vertical rock.
