Skate Ski Class - Everett - 2025

Cross-country Skiing Course

Skate Ski Class

Learn how to skate ski. Prior experience on classic or skate cross country skis is required.

Learn how to skate ski. As a prerequisite, you should already be able to comfortably go down hills, turn and stop on cross country skis (classic or skate).

This course focuses on learning skate techniques, primarily for beginners. There will be three evening lessons (by headlamp). The first lesson will cover body position, weight transfer, and basic skate movements, and we will introduce V2 alternate. The second and third lessons will build on the first, adding in V2 and V1. We will finish up with an optional weekend daytime social ski to put your new skills to use on a longer trip.

The evening lessons begin at Crystal Springs promptly at 6pm—we cannot accommodate late arrivals so please consider that when signing up.

The location and dates are weather and conditions dependent—we may need to shift to Cabin Creek or switch to a different day if the road or grooming conditions don’t allow us to meet as scheduled.
