Topics of instruction will include selection and use of proper equipment, what to rent, how to plan and evaluate snowshoe routes to avoid avalanche risk, winter travel, safety, and choosing an outing. We will also cover field trip logistics so that students will leave this lecture prepared for the required course outing.
