Nancy Temkin
Nancy initially joined the Mountaineers in 1977 and graduated from the Alpine Scramble and Basic Climbing class. But life happened and she dropped membership when she was spending more time on the sidelines of youth soccer than in the mountains. She rejoined in 2006 and became more active in the club earning her hike and urban walk leader badges and instructing for Wilderness and On-trail Navigation. In addition to chairing the Foothills Hiking Committee, Nancy chairs the joint Foothills and Seattle Walking the Wild Committee and is a member of the Global Adventures Committee. Nancy and her husband live on a small farm in Redmond, enjoy travel, and usually hike 2-3 times a week. In her work life, Nancy is a biostatistician and traumatic brain injury researcher at UW.
