Outdoor classroom session meet and greet, covering fastpacking gear to include a couple of our leaders with a gear layout and display. This will be followed and combined with a Q&A session.

Meet at 6:15pm at the side parking area, ready to go by 6:30pm.
Approximate length of session: 1 1/2hrs. 6:30pm to 8:00pm

Follow the road around to your right. We will be meeting in the grassy field near the side parking area. Bring a camping chair.
The curriculum focuses on the basic knowledge and resources needed to begin fastpacking safely and with confidence. This session will address gear, clothing, adaption of the classic ten essentials. We will set up various shelters including cottage brand tents and off the shelf tents and hammocks. Participants will be able to try pitching these tents, touching the fabric, and get an idea of capacity of various fastpacks.
