This course has two parts:
- optional no-cost evening session(s) on winter trail running which participants can attend that complement this course.
- a field trip held at a trail suitable for learning and practicing winter trail running skills and using traction devices and other winter running gear.
- Some field trips are specifically dedicated to learning to use running-specific snowshoes. Rental running-specific snowshoes are provided for participants for these field trips.

Roster
Required Equipment
Please wear layers of breathable, technical clothing suitable for outdoor winter aerobic activities.
- Waterproof jacket, hat, buff, gloves, sunglasses, wool socks, and gaiters are recommended.
- Trail running shoes, especially if they are stiffer and/or waterproof (with Gore-Tex). No boots, please.
- A small day pack is strongly recommended.
- Bring snacks and water.
- A change of socks and shoes to put on afterwards can make your travel home more comfortable!
