Winter Trail Running Conditioning Course runs from 4-6 miles. You will need to complete 2 course runs per month over Dec, Jan and Feb to graduate.

Meet at 8:00 am in the Arrowhead Elementary School parking lot (6725 NE Arrowhead Drive - Kenmore). Following introductions, description of route, and current trail conditions, plan to start running by 8:10 am. No passes required. Bathroom available after about 2 miles next to the beach.

We will follow a generally counter-clockwise loop for ~4.5 miles total distance with about 500 ft elevation gain through Saint Edward State Park. We will warm up on the Juanita and Volunteer trails, then descend the North trail. We'll run along the waterfront and climb the Seminary trail. We'll add in the Orchard Loop, then head toward the Water Tower, but cut back on the Plateau trail. A final sprint on the Arrowhead trail will finish our run. We will look to do an avg pace of 4 mph: moderate hiking pace on the uphill sections 4.5-5.0 mph on level and downhill sections.
