Winter Trail Running Conditioning Course runs from 6+ miles. You will need to complete 2 course runs per month over Dec, Jan and Feb to graduate.

Meet at 5:30 pm in the Boyer Parking Lot of the Washington Arboretum, on the west side of the park just north of the Japanese Garden. Google Maps Location Following introductions, description of route and current trail conditions, plan to start running by 5:40 pm. No passes required. Bathroom available on route soon after starting.

This route will cover the Washington Park Arboretum up to Foster Island.

We will do two counter-clockwise loops for ~7 9/10 miles total distance with 242 ft elevation gain, stopping briefly each time at the north point on Foster Island. We will look to do an avg pace of 4 mph: moderate to fast hike uphill and 4.5-5.0 mph straightaway and downhill. Please bring headlamp since we will be starting in the dark!
