Backpacking Building Blocks Student-Only Backpack - Tubal Cain Mine, Buckhorn Lake & Marmot Pass

Preference to B3 Students until June 24. Leader permission required. This is a two day, one night, 17.5 mile round backpack trip with 2,700 feet of elevation gain. Enjoy expansive views across the Dungeness River gorge to the Olympic mountains range. Kat and Caroline's mentor group has priority signup until June 24, 2024. If space is still available on the trip, other interested and qualified B3 students can email the leaders after June 24th to ask for permission to sign up.

Meeting place and time:  Meet at the Tubal Cain trailhead  near Sequim with packs ready and boots on ready to go at 9am

Possible side trips to Marmot Pass and Tubal Cain Mine adding mileage and elevation to the trip.  We will have a dry camp, so be prepared to use your extra water carrying capacity.  More information will be provided in the "Hello Hiker" email to all participants before the trip.

At this time wildfires or high temperatures do not appear to be a risk, but we will re-route if conditions change and become a concern.   This trip is also dependent on finding a substitute for Kat who is unable to make this trip.
