Ultralight Backpacking Gear and Strategies Seminar - Online Classroom

This seminar will begin  at 6:30 PM and will be conducted online using ZOOM video conferencing software.  The zoom link will be sent out in advance by email to all registered participants.

The "Going Light" backpacking class will help attendees create their own personal lightweight system...to go backpacking more comfortably, or farther, or faster, or all three.  A system tailored to individual needs, budget and style.  We'll explore gear alternatives and trade-offs.  Do some lightweight "math." Look at gear and supply performance, ease of use, versatility, repackaging, durability and price.  See what AT, PCT and CDT thru-hikers most commonly have in their systems. Help you get familiar with some of the latest gear choices, from national brands to small cottage-industry companies.  Talk about a process to move toward lightening one's pack. And help you develop and maintain -- and adjust -- your own lightweight packing list.
