June GoHike Urban Walk: 3.5 to 6 miles, 400 to 1,500 feet gain (optional) - O.O. Denny Park

This urban hike is in a beautiful wooded park featuring a stream and log bridges. We’ll plan about three miles on a (mostly) well maintained trail system, and a mile or so on pavement exploring an adjacent neighborhood.

Meet at O.O. Denny Park, 12302 Holmes Point Dr NE, Kirkland, WA  98034 at 8:30 am.

Restrooms available at the edge of the parking lot on the Lake Washington side of Holmes Point Dr NE.  Once we are gathered, we will walk across Holmes Point Dr NE to begin our hike.

This park features lots of native plants and trees, several easy bridge crossings over Denny Creek, a stair climb of about 150 steps (we’ll go up and down these stairs), and a nice hill climb. Most of the trail system is out and back with one short loop.
