**NOT the Sauk Mountain Trail**

We'll do about 5 miles  on the Evergreen, Skagit View and Sauk Springs trails, through an old-growth forest where dappled sunlight illuminates mossy trees and lush ferns (WTA.org). This will require crossing Highway 20 twice at a marked spot on the road.

This will be a casual paced hike, averaging 2.0  mph (with actual moving speeds of  1.75 to 2.5 miles per hour depending on terrain and steepness) with stops to enjoy the trees, fauna and views. If you find yourself frustrated by frequent stops during group hikes, this is not the activity for you.  Participants will be encouraged to help navigate, so please bring a copy of the park map (printed or electronically) or have AllTrails/Gaia loaded.

Rockport State Park is about 37 miles east of Burlington on Highway 20 and about a two-hour drive from Seattle (during optimal traffic), please plan your commute accordingly to arrive in plenty of time.
Leader will be camping nearby from Thursday - Monday and is happy to share information if participants are interested in camping before/after the hike.
Discover Pass required.
