Join us for a 3 mile adventure at the Redmond Watershed. GoHike Urban Walks are outings of at least two miles or longer that take place on city or suburban streets, parks or greenbelts. GoHike Pace Walks are low-stress urban walks designed to help you determine where you are in terms of gear, the pace (1.5 - 2 mph) and distance you can complete comfortably. These trips are designed to assist you in developing your goals for conditioning and hiking, so that you can determine what level of walks or hikes and pace would be the best fit for you to sign up for - no pressure, no judgment!

Meet at the Redmond Watershed Preserve parking lot at 8:30am. Further details to be provided in the Hello Hiker email.
We'll do a 3.5 mile(ish) loop in the southern half of the park with an average speed of 2 miles per hour, with some sections slightly quicker to give examples of pacing. We will stay together as a group with stops as needed for clothing adjustments and water/photo breaks.
While the Watershed Preserve has fairly well maintained trails, it could be muddy/slippery so hiking/trail type shoes/boots are recommended. This is technically considered an Urban Hike since it's close to town and there is cell service but please have your 10 essentials and adequate layers, water and snacks.
The goal is to have an enjoyable time out in the woods, return to the trailhead safely, and get an idea of your preferred hiking pace.
Required Equipment
Leader will send out a Hello Walker email prior to the walk that may include requirements or recommendations for equipment. Please bring your backpack with 10 essentials and adequate clothing & layers, water and snacks.
