  • Mileage: 4.4 mi
  • Elevation Gain: 500 ft
  • Pace: 1.5 - 2mph

Trailhead at 8am, ready to hike. Potential for carpool from Preston P&R at 6:00am.

Dog friendly hike! Please be okay with hiking with dogs if you are signing up for this hike.  Hiking with dogs means a slower pace with lots of stops for sniffs, bio breaks and just because, which results in a casual pace.  A limited number of dogs will be allowed - please email leader ahead of time if you are interested in bringing your dog.

We'll hike as a group, with quick stops for photos/dog things and a slightly longer snack break at the "summit", with an average moving speed between 1.5 and 1.75 mph, returning to the trailhead around noon(ish). If you are someone who likes to rush to get back to the trailhead or gets annoyed with stopping all the time, this is not the hike for you. Please do not have afternoon plans that require you to return by a certain time.

Note that this is approximately 2 hours from Seattle and there is no public transportation to the trailhead. Highly recommend carpooling. Northwest Forest Service parking pass required.

Look for the Hello Hiker in the week before the hike; please read and respond accordingly by the given due date. Failure to respond could result in removal from the roster if there are participants on the waitlist.
