Back by popular demand: the seventh in our series of virtual online pajama parties for Mountaineers backpackers and anyone else who loves to learn about or drool over pictures from the best backpacking routes in our fine state! Put on your comfy jammies, grab a beverage and snack, and join us from 7 to 8:30 for slides, route info and details on how to plan your own trip!
Charles Grant will be sharing a slide show, route details and logistics suggestions for from his trip last August from Snoqualmie Pass to Stevens Pass on Section J of the Pacific Crest Trail. This section takes you through some of the most remote and diverse mountain country along the entire 2650-mile trail. The route traverses the Alpine Lakes Wilderness, passing by a least a dozen lakes along the way, many of them swimmable in late-summer, along with innumerable meadows, old-growth trees, and stunning views of towering mountains.
Beginning two days before the event we will email the instructions and link to join the zoom call.
To encourage donations to the Mountaineers during this time of extreme financial difficulty, we are providing opportunities for participants in our popular event series to donate as they reserve their spot at the event (you will also continue to have the option to get a free 'ticket' if you don't choose to donate). If you'd like to offer a donation to help us continue to support our volunteer-led programs and our conservation and youth mission, please go to the link at the button below. Those who have already RSVPd to the event may also donate by clicking on the button below and choosing one of the donation options. You do NOT need to click on the button if you RSVP here and do not choose to donate.
