Photo journey of upcoming trip that will start in St. John’s and travel the Trans-Can highway from east to west. Along the way we’ll discover gorgeous scenery, great hikes, friendly locals and quaint villages. Whales, seabirds (e.g. puffins, gannets, more) and wildlife (e.g. caribou, moose) as well as day hikes in national parks, historic sites and the famed East Coast Trail are the focus. Differing from our nearest Canadian neighbors, Newfoundland’s First Nations, English and Irish cultures have shaped the identity of the Island's peoples. Said to be Canada’s most idiosyncratic and unfailingly friendly province, even with its own time zone, we will visit both coasts of this island and enjoy seafood and dishes unique to Newfoundland.
