Walking the Wild: Hike the Menalon Trail on Greece's Peloponnese Peninsula, with Cindy Hoover

In early October of 2024, Mountaineers adventurer and Global Adventures co-chair Cindy Hoover and friends explored the Peloponnesian peninsula on foot on the Menalon Trail, a 75km, 7 or 8 day horseshoe-shaped route that is just far enough off the beaten path to feel both accessible and authentic.  This is the Greece of steep forested hills, narrow gorges, quaint tavernas, old stone houses overlooking dramatic valleys, sheep and goat herds, and comfortable bed and breakfast lodging - an under-visited area with a history stretching back to ancient Sparta.   Cindy will be joining us to share photos, stories and trip planning details to help you put together your own trip in this stunning part of Greece!   

The presentation will begin promptly at 7PM and end at 8:30PM with time for Q&A at the end. The event will be held on zoom. An advance ticket will be required to receive the zoom link to join the presentation - you can get your ticket here!
