In high summer of 2018 a Mountaineers Global Adventures group led by Cheryl Talbert set out from Interlaken to complete a 12-day, 100 mile, 35,000-foot-gain circuit through the heart of the Bernese Oberland, ending at Kandersteg. The group crossed multiple high passes including the Hohturli (the highest trekking pass in the Bernese Oberland), skirted above the famed Swiss mountain towns of Grindelwald and Lauterbrunnen, traversed along the Eiger trail, and stayed in incredible mountain huts and guest-houses serenaded by serene dairy cows. Swiss alpine trekking doesnt' get any better than this! Come and see photos and get information to help you do this trip on your own!
The presentation will begin promptly at 7PM and end at 8:30PM with time for Q&A at the end. The event will be held on zoom. An advance ticket will be required to receive the zoom link to join the presentation - you can get your ticket here!
You can attend with a free ticket, but we hope that you will purchase a $10 or $20 ticket which will help The Mountaineers Foothills and Seattle Branches continue to deliver their volunteer-led hiking and backpacking programs, including events like this one! We hope you will join us!
