Olympia Hiking & Backpacking Committee
HIKE WITH US!
Hikes are scheduled year-round. Mid-week outings are also offered. Hikes are all led by our volunteer leaders, most of whom have years of experience exploring Washington's backcountry. Hikes of all difficulties are led through the Olympia branch and we require the 10 essentials on all day hikes.
FAMILY HIKES (Dixie Havlak)
The Olympia Branch Family Hiking Committee is a sub-Committee of the Olympia hiking committee established to allow families and their young children a way to get out and explore nature in family friendly hiking activities.
conditioning hiking series (Terri Pressly & Mike McIntosh)
This course offers participants the chance to develop their fitness capabilities, hike with many of the same people throughout the duration of the course and reach new distance and elevation goals.
URban adventures
Urban adventures are trips that happen at in-town locations like city parks, boulevards, hidden staircases and other unique locations. Most Urban Adventures are rated as easy to moderate and done at a slower pace. Join your fellow Mountaineers and explore spaces close to you.
