Instruction begins at 9:00 a.m. sharp. Plan to be there by 8:30 a.m. to allow time to park, buy your trail pass and rent skis. We will be done for the day by 3:30.
Parking: Arriving at the pass from the west, take the second left into the big parking area on the left side of the road, across the street from the downhill ski area. Once in the parking lot, the Nordic Center is straight ahead. The parking lot attendant may direct you to take a left once you enter the lot but go straight to get a spot closer to the Nordic Center. Parking is free.
We will break into small groups led by 2-3 instructors. in the morning session you will learn to ski on mostly flat areas. We will eat lunch in the cafe yurt. For the afternoon, you will continue practicing on the flats and begin learning to go up and down gentle hills. For skiers who are ready, you will do a short tour with packs.
