Hold this date. This trip will become a required field trip if either the January 26 or February 2 field trips are canceled due to weather or snow conditions. If neither field trip is canceled, this will be an optional social ski day.

Meet near the yurts at 9:00 a.m.

This trip will become a required field trip if either the January 26 or February 2 field trips are canceled.

In the event that neither field trip is canceled, this will be an optional social ski--a chance to ski with instructors and improve your technique and skills. We will break into groups based on student abilities and goals  and do tours that will include instruction.  We will end the day with a gathering in the cafe yurt.

Required Equipment

Touring skis (less that 70 mm wide to fit in tracks), boots and poles. These can be rented at White Pass Nordic Center.

Day pack (make sure everything fits in your pack with room for any layers you may shed):
Extra mid layer or insulated jacket
1 Extra pair of gloves/mittens
Snacks—small and accessible, bring extra
Lunch
Water
Sunglasses, small first aid kit, personal items
Rain gear--waterproof and breathable jacket and pants
