This exciting new week of Olympia Summer Camp is for campers ages 8-13 and includes 3 days/2 nights at the 3-volcanoes cabin, owned by Dixie Havlak. We are so excited to share this new adventure with you! Below is a glance at the week:
Monday - We will spend the day getting to know each other with fun games and ice breakers, followed by planning and preparing for the week ahead. We will get dialed in on our camp skills, such as setting up tents, cooking with stoves, filtering water. We will also cover some wilderness first aid skills, and learn how to Leave No Trace while we’re in the wilderness. We’ll cap off the day with some fun games, and final prep for the trip.
Tuesday - Prepare to get wet because we will be spending a portion of the day at Ken Lake, learning how to use a variety of boat, kayaks, and canoes. Campers will continue to build their skill set through games and play.
Campers will arrive Wednesday morning at to prep and pack all of the gear. After a quick snack we will be on our way to the 3-volcano cabin. Once camp is all set up we will have time for some adventuring before dinner. Our evening will be filled with campfire, stargazing, songs and scary stories (but not too scary) of course!
Thursday and Friday will be all about exploring awesome day hikes around our beautiful set of volcanoes and will include fun skill sessions before we all hop back into the car to head back to Olympia. We will arrive back on Friday around 4 with time to share our stories with our families.
