Rose Garden at Squaxin Park from 10am to 3:00pm
This is great for the whole family. Every kid needs to be accompanied by an adult to help with activities.
This event is best for 6 and up but talk to instructor if you have younger kids you want to bring.
We will have activity stations in the morning.
At lunch we will discuss nutrition and food for the trail.
In the afternoon we will continue with stations and then take a hike through the trails at Squaxin and practice our new skills, including navigation.
Required Equipment
Dress to be outdoors all day. Although we will be partly under cover, we will do activities out of the shelter and take a short hike to practice skills.
Bring a backpack for each participant, to include water, snacks, and spare clothing. Parents should bring a family first aid kit. You can also bring whatever 10 essentials you have that you would like to share, use, or discuss during the training.
Sack lunch that you would take on a hike.
Snacks provided.
Good Attitude :)
