Volunteer Skills Workshop - Squaxin Park

Summer Camp Volunteer Skills Workshop for Ages 13-17.

  • Casual

Join us at the Squaxin Park Rose Garden at 10 am on April 2nd for in-depth training on youth volunteers during summer camp. We will begin the day with a walk through Squaxin Park, visiting all of the locations for summer camp, discussing necessary safety logistics, and reviewing select curriculum. We will have lunch at Olympia Friends Meeting House, where we will discuss the volunteering with youth manual and other important things to know when working with youth, especially in summer camp.  Pickup will be at Oly Friends Meeting Place at 2 pm.

These hours will count towards volunteer hours. All youth volunteers who volunteer for 5 days of more are eligible to become "counselors in training," which can be put on resumes for future adventures.

Please reach out to Clairee@mountaineers.org with any questions. Expect an email about a week before the event with more details. Please let me know if any participants have food allergies/ restrictions.
