Oly SK Leaders Appreciation Dinner and Trip Planning Meeting

This year’s Oly SK Leaders Appreciation Dinner and Trip Planning Meeting is scheduled for May 8, at Shelter #1 (Rose Garden), Squaxin Park (formally Priest Point Park), Olympia. The meeting will provide SK Trip Leaders, an excellent opportunity to swap war stories with peeps and participate in the trip planning process for the upcoming sea kayaking season. This year’s Oly SK Leaders Appreciation Dinner and Trip Planning Meeting is scheduled for May 8, at Shelter #1 (Rose Garden), Squaxin Park, Olympia.  Plan to arrive between 5:30 and 6:00 pm.  Dinner will be pizza from either “Old School Pizzeria” and/or “Vic Pizzeria” served with nonalcohol beverages.  We’ll discuss recent developments and start on trip planning. 

Some of our goals for the year include:

SK Trip Leader commitment to lead Wednesday night paddles   Wednesday night paddles should start sometime between May 14 and 28.

SK Trip Leader commitment to lead experience paddles for the Basic Kayak Classes.  The first basic class starts April 29 and concludes May 10.

Increase the number of SK Trip Leaders within our branch.  If you know of any Oly SK member(s) who would be a suitable candidate for the SK Trip Leader mentoring process, please provide me with their name.  We would like to invite them to this year’s SK Leaders Appreciation Dinner.
