Canyoning Skills Practice Session - Quicksilver Creek

Beginner Canyon for new Canyon Course graduates to get more experience descending and rigging in an Aquatic Canyon

The group will meet on the morning of  8/17 at the Kachess Ridge Trailhead at 8am.  Each participant will need to have all of their own personal gear for this trip however, ropes , rope bags and backpacks for the canyon will be provided.  We will be packed up and ready to hike by 8:30am, so if you need more than 30mins to get yourself ready, arrive as early as needed to be ready to go by 8:30am. 

Summary

This Canyon activity is open to all members of the Mountaineers canyoning program. This Canyon will focus primarily on basic level skills and will allow Basic Canyon graduates the opportunity to practice their rigging.  Leaders and more advanced participants will be present to keep an eye on safety.   

Participants must have the prerequisite training to participate in the practice session.

What to Bring

Please bring your personal canyoning gear (harness, helmet, carabiners, lanyards, rappel device, ascending equipment, etc).  wetsuits and canyoning shoes are required. Gloves are encouraged but not required.  Please bring layers appropriate for your level of comfort.  Snacks,  filtered water bottle and lunch are encouraged.
