This is subject to cancelation or location change based on weather and avalanche conditions.
We will be taking the Worm Flows route up the mountain, camping at around 4000'. Students can opt to use skis or snowshoes.
This is not the winter mountaineering field trip, where students will be required to demonstrate anchors, quick belays, crevasse rescue, beacon searches, and dig snow caves. The purpose of this trip is to gain experience winter camping with a tent and scrambling with snowshoes and crampons, bond with your mentor group, and hopefully summit a beautiful mountain.
Permits are free and self-issued at the Marble Mountain Sno Park Trailhead. A Sno Park pass is required for vehicles.
