Introduction to Rock Climbing Course - Seattle

The Introduction to Rock Climbing course is designed for those who have little to no outdoor rock climbing experience but who want to gain the skills to confidently climb and belay at the local crags.

In this course you will learn the basics of top-roped outdoor climbing. This includes learning basic climbing knots, belaying skills, climbing techniques, cleaning top rope anchors, and rappelling. At the end of this course, you will be able to safely follow a lead climber on single-pitch sport/crag climbs.  To get the most out of this course, you should plan on practicing at a climbing gym once per week in addition to the regular course meetings.
