CHS 1 Hike - Lake Whatcom Park: Chanterelle Trail
At 2.4 miles, the trail offers long switchbacks uphill climb 100 feet easily to a remarkable view of Lake Whatcom, Puget Sound, and the San Juan Islands. CHS pacing hike led at a CHS 1 pace (1.5-2.0 mph).

This trail opened in 2018 and is in very good condition. Pit toilets at the trail head.
Following the hike we will plan to gather for lunch. You should plan to bring a morning snack.
We'll meet at the Cook Road Park & Ride just north of Burlington at 8:30 am. We'll take as few cars as possible from here to the trail head about 45 minutes north east of Bellingham.
We will send out our Hello hiker email with more specific details early in the week of the hike.
