CHS 1 Hike - Surprise Lake & Mountain

Two alpine lakes, fall colors, old growth forest and views of Mount Daniel. Where else to spend a fall day hiking? CHS hike led at a CHS 1 pace (1.5-2.0 mph)

Meet at 7:00 AM at Brickyard Park and Ride in Bothell: 15530 Juanita Woodinville Way NE.

This is a long but enjoyable hike near Stevens Pass. We'll touch parts of the PCT, skirt along Glacier and Surprise Lakes then ascend to Surprise Gap and finally to the summit of Surprise Mountain with its great views of Mt Daniel and the surrounding area. In past years by late September there have been awesome fall colors near the summit.
