Let’s plan on meeting 7:15a.m. in front of the Cascade Motel office, (address: 300 NW Forest Ln, Cascade Locks, Oregon). We will then caravan East on I-84 to Button Bridge Rd/Mt.Hood Hwy, exit 64. We will head north across the Columbia River on the Hood River Bridge into Washington state. We then head east on WA-14 Hwy turning left on Old HWY 8. We’ll travel on Old HWY 8 for 8.4 miles. The trailhead parking area will be on the North side of the highway.
For those of you who want to meet us at the trailhead parking lot, please be there by 7:50a.m. A Northwest Forest Pass or America the Beautiful Pass is required for parking at the trailhead.
Look for my blue 2018 Volvo XC60R in the parking lot.
