CHS 2 Hike - Green Lake (Mount Rainier)

Starting near the Carbon River entrance, we'll hike on the old Carbon River Road (devastated by floods in 2006 and 2008) until we get to the Ranger Falls/GreenLake Trailhead. We then head on up enjoying wonderful old growth forest (one of the very best in the northwest) on the way to cascading Ranger Falls and pristine Green Lake. CHS 2 hike led at a pace of 2.0-3.0 mph.

Let's meet at the Carbon River Entrance at 9:00AM. It's about a 90 minute drive from Seattle.  More details to follow.

This is a real fun hike with tons of old growth forest to experience. We'll first hike along and see the ever changing Carbon River all silty and white charging down from the Carbon Glacier.  Then onto Ranger Falls which should be flowing hard and then onto picturesque and serene Green Lake for lunch.
