CHS 2 Hike

Field trip: Conditioning Hiking Series

CHS 2 Hike - Mailbox Peak

CHS hike led at a CHS 2 pace (2.0-2.5mph). A trip up to Mailbox Peak via the newer trail on a Friday. This is a go-getter hike not due to mileage, but due to the elevation gain of 4000ft.

  • Strenuous
  • Challenging
  • Mileage: 9.4 mi
  • Elevation Gain: 4,000 ft
  • Pace: 2.0-2.5 mph

Those wishing to carpool will meet at the Tibbetts Valley Park Park and Ride in Issaquah. This open-air lot is located across the street and to the south of the Issaquah Transit Center. The lot is just behind the skate park. The meeting time and directions to the Park and Ride and the trailhead will be included in the Hello Hiker email.

Mailbox peak can be awfully busy on weekends, so we'll make this hike on a Friday instead.  We will take the newer trail up and down to get our mileage in.
