Seattle Leadership Committee

This committee puts together a one-day leadership seminar, held at the Mountaineers’ Seattle Program Center, that is for both current and prospective leaders of Mountaineers trips and activities. 

The course addresses scenarios that are based on actual trips – the good, the bad, and the ugly.... These thought-provoking discussions are a mix of the participants’ own experiences, the scenarios, and books such as John Graham's "Outdoor Leadership." This event is not activity-specific. Snowshoers, skiiers, kayakers, hikers, climbers, sailors, scramblers, dancers, bikers, photographers are all encouraged to participate.
