We will meet at 10:00 am by the large sign at the Mountaineer's Native Plant Garden which is located at the lower level east of the rock climbing wall at the Seattle Mountaineers Clubhouse. Parking is available across the street from the garden or in the clubhouse parking area. No permits are needed. There are no restrooms so please plan accordingly.
Peter Abrahamsen, who gave the lecture about bees in Class 4, will be joining us to help locate and identify common insect pollinators that visit both native and non-native flowers. We will start at the Native Plant garden which has many flowers still in bloom. Then we will walk over to the pea patch which has flowers planted specifically to attract pollinators. Peter has a wealth of knowledge and passion for teaching others about pollinators. It is amazing that we have so many insect pollinators right here in our city park.
