Packrafting Gear Rentals

The Seattle Packrafting Committee has a small fleet of gear that is available for rentals on a limited basis.

RENTAL FEE, RENTAL PERIOD, AND DEPOSIT

  • For students registered in a course: $200 rental fee for 2 months, plus $200 refundable damage deposit.
  • For all others: $100 rental fee for up to 2 weeks, plus $300 refundable damage deposit.
  • Free trial days for students, graduates, leaders, instructors, and committee members who may benefit from a trial.

    REQUIREMENTS 

      • A current Mountaineers membership and an association with the packrafting community or Basic Sea Kayaking badge holder.  
      • Fill out and sign the Gear Rental Agreement and Liability Waiver.
      • Deposit to be refunded upon return of all gear in satisfactory condition.

    KIT CONTENTS

    1. Boat,  2. Inflation Bag, 3. Repair kit, 3. Seat, 4. Footbrace, 5. Stuff Sack, 6. Spray Skirt, 7. Coaming, 8. Bow bag, 9. Paddle (Optional), 10. Whitewater Helmet (Optional)

    PRIORITY

    1. Students registered in a Mountaineers packrafting course
    2. Packrafting Course badge holders
    3. Packrafting Committee members
    4. Mountaineers Sea Kayaking badge holders
    5. Free trials (for leaders, instructors, committee members, and course graduates)

    Get Started

    If you are interested in renting a packraft, please do the following:

    1. Fill out the Packraft Rental Request Form
    2. Email the  Packrafting Gear Manager to confirm your inquiry and discuss next steps.
    3. Complete payment via the Packrafting Gear Rental page for Mountaineers members or the Gear Rental Page for non-members.

    If you are enrolled in a course the equipment will be brought to the  initial course lecture. Otherwise, please communicate with the Gear Manager.
