Meet at Ferinand Street Boat Launch at 8:00am (arrival time).
(I've never launched from here but it is a hand carry boat launch so should be very suitable.)
Conditioning series events are intended to get people out on the water to develop strength and endurance. A secondary goal is to offer regular outings, particularly through the winter.
The venue may be any location. However, paddles that are lower overhead - less travel, simpler logistics - will facilitate regular participation by people in Seattle.
The main focus is steady forward paddling.
Required Equipment
We will paddle around Mercer Island at a brisk pace. Distance is about 13 nm.
Expect stops at Luke Burbank park on the NE corner and Clarke Beach Park on the SE shore. This divides the paddle into rough thirds.
We will target about a 3.8 knot paddling pace.
