For Instructors Only. In this 1.5-hour evening session we will review your role as Pacing and Urban Walk (field trip) leaders. We'll talk about the GoWalk! course and walks, about setting goals and how to help participants reach them. (Students have their own session October 2)

Session Leader Peter Hendrickson will open the Zoom about 6:20, if folks would like to chat.  Major elements should be completed by 7:30 with another 30 minutes available for questions.  Zoom link to follow.

In this first session for Instructors/Trip Leaders of the new Mountaineers GoWalk! series, we'll give you the basic information and tools to get students started walking, share information about the series and what is involved, and connect you with a community of  fellow volunteers .

Yes, students believe you are eager to help them with any roadblocks or fears and get out there, starting from where they are!  This session will be recorded.

At the Student Orientation, we'll give examples of gear for students  to look at, and help in deciding what clothing and gear is essential for a given walk and set of conditions.   As the series progresses we will help students fill in any gaps in your gear kit with a minimum of expense.
