October GoWalk! Pacing Urban Walks: 2 to 4 miles, 0 to 450 feet of elevation gain - Washington Park Arboretum
GoWalk! Pace Urban Walks are low-stress activities to help you determine where you are in terms of gear, the pace (1.5 - 2 mph) and distance you can complete comfortably, and what your season goals for conditioning and walking are, so that you can determine what level of walks and pace would be the best fit for you to sign up for - no pressure, no judgment!

Participation in 1 pacing hike is required for all GoWalk! participants.
Pacing hikes will be offered in October and will open for registration on September 15 at 12:00 pm. Register for only one pace walk. Pacing walks assist you in setting goals and action steps for your urban walking season and for achieving them. They also give you an opportunity to assess your gear and clothing options.
The Arboretum land is owned and maintained by Seattle Parks while the collection of over 10,000 plants and 4,400 plant species is maintained by University of Washington's Botanic Gardens. Our loop walk will be primarily on smooth grade gravel paths through the park with limited stairs/hill. There will be opportunities to photograph the amazing collection of plants and landscaping in the Olmstead inspired park.
The pace will be casual/conversational with opportunities to rest or stretch.
