Join us for six weeks of climbing and outdoor focused fun with other adventurous young Mountaineers!
Youth ages 10-13 are invited to join The Mountaineers for a six week program packed with climbing, games, crafts, and a heavy dose of outdoor adventure. For six consecutive Thursdays, participants will join us at The Mountaineers Program Center in Magnuson Park to develop climbing skills and socialize with other curious kids while taking a much needed break from screens!
During the Mountain Discovery After-school Program, youth will have the opportunity to learn new climbing skills, play games, and develop other necessary outdoor skills such as navigation and stewardship! Activities will be conducted outside as much as possible, with our indoor climbing wall serving as a backup for rain.
LOGISTICS:
- Registration opens January 11th
- This course runs every Thursday from 4:00-6:00 pm for six weeks
- Drop off from 3:45-4:00 pm
- Pick up from 5:45-6:00 pm

All participants should bring:
- Mask and hand sanitizer
- Full water bottle
- A snack!
- Extra clothing layers (weather dependent)
- Close-toed shoes
- An awesome outdoor attitude!
